Tutorial Video

Team Members:

What is our how to video about?
Our video is how to do water marbling on your nails and also some tips on the best and easiest way to do it.

What did I do?
I was the, I guess, "hand-model". I basically did the whole thing and Ciara filmed it

What would I do differently?
well now that I know the power of editing and how to make the whole video come together and look better, I think I would probably not worry so much about the video and slow down and take my time making it. I would tell myself not to be such a perfectionist about it because I could easily delete the clip out and trim it to make it look better.

Easiest part?
I think the easiest part was the actual filming. Setting up and figuring out how we wanted to film was a bit difficult, but once we got started, it was super easy.

Hardest part?
The hardest thing was figuring out how to use PremierProCC.

Creating My Career Website

Creating my career website proved to be more difficult than I had anticipated. I think the hardest thing for me was getting my spy assets bar to work properly. Other than that everything was fairly easy and I enjoyed researching my career, as well as creating my website.

Sight

Do you think that technology could go that far?
In the video, Sight, the world that they had created was a world that was essentially completely run by technology, where everything you thought and did and every action you made, was controlled by this new level of technology. I feel like one day, and maybe some day, our level of technology could advance to something like this. Although I don't think it would be anytime in the near future, I do think that someday it could be possible. Personally, I like to believe that humans wouldn't let technology take over that much, to the point that it takes over our interactions with other human beings. But then again, to a certain extent, that's kind of what our world is like today.

Would you like to live in that world?
I think experiencing a world like this would be and amazing experience and adventure, but only for a short while. I don't think I would actually like to live in a world like this. Technology as it is, is completely taking over my life in more aspects than I care to admit, and I don't think I could handle a world where technology has that much control over my life and has such a tight grasp on me.

How do you feel about your website?
Right now I really like my website. I don't necessarily love the design or the content, but I feel pretty comfortable, confident, and competent in creating my own website now.

Best Practices for Web Design

Current best web design practices

1. Keep Content as Concise as Possible

2. Use Headings to Break Up Long Articles

3. Publish High Quality Content

DIYThmes

How do these web design practices compare to my top three websites?

All three of my top websites exhibit these web design practices, they all manage to keep their content concise and use headings to break up long articles. They all also publish high quality content.

The best and worst website designs

Good Websites

1) Twitter

2) Netflix

3) Youtube

All of these websites have a very simple layout, although there is a lot to do in each of these websites, everything seems to have a place. They are all organized with a sleek design that is easy to navigate.

Bad Websites

1) Tumblr

I think this website has too much going on, and unlike the websites above, it is not laid out in a way where it is simple to navigate and understand.
